Pemimpin Kuba ini bahkan sudah memberinya berbagai jabatan. Tetapi, keinginannya memerangi kapitalisme-imperialisme di berbagai bangsa, terutama di Amerika Latin, telah mengalahkan segalanya. Walau demikian, meski ajal telah menjemputnya puluhan tahun lalu, namanya masih tetap populer hingga kini. Kisah hidup dan gambar grafis wajah tampannya yang berbaret hitam dan dipasangi bintang bahkan masih disukai kaum muda dunia, bahkan di indonesia. Tak dapat dipungkiri, Che adalah salah satu ikon dalam sejarah modern.
